How to ensure a quality ServiceNow deployment using Automated…
During an implementation of ServiceNow there are many moving parts to think about.
What if I break something that was already working?
Will the new solution I’m building even work?
How do we make sure customer requirements are being met?
Automated Testing Framework (ATF) is the answer:
ATF is available at no additional cost in both Production and Sub-Productions instances.
ATF is used to create and run automated tests on your ServiceNow instance and is available as of the Istanbul release. Use of ATF is at no cost and only needs to be configured once.
ATF has the capability to test the following features that can be either manually run or scheduled to run at a specific time
- Browser Compatibility
- Service Uncatalogued
- Rest API
- Out of Box Applications
After an initial effort to create the Test Case, manual effort is reduced in the long term.
Testing time is reduced and the Test Cases can be efficiently reused for the same application/requirements
Tests results include Screens and detailed logs that will assist in verifying the tests that have been run.
