5 facts about Diwali
1) Diwali is an important religious festival originating in India.
2) Diwali takes place annually and lasts for five days, marking the start of the Hindu New Year.
3) Diwali is a celebration of lights and legends –– Diwali is also a time to have fun with friends and family! People exchange gifts and sweets, enjoy delicious feasts, watch firework displays and wear new clothes. It’s a time to clean and decorate your home, too.
4) Rangoli is a popular Diwali tradition –– beautiful patterns made using colourful powders and flowers. People draw rangoli on the floor by the entrance of their homes to welcome the gods and bring good luck!
5) Globally our Enablers really know how to throw a great party celebrating the festival of the lights.

In Australia, we enjoyed Diwali pot luck style lunches with all team members sharing a meal. In Melbourne and Sydney, team members dressed in ethnic dress and shared a traditional lunch of home made curries, rice, roti, and pani puri. A full-on spice, colours and flavour explosion.

In India, we had Diwali celebration on Thursday (Noida) and Friday (Bangalore).
This year the theme of Diwali celebration was “This Diwali do something different”.
Our Bangalore team used their creative touch to product gorgeous Rangoli and a welcoming entrance with fresh flowers.
The Noida team went above and beyond by attending an orphan centre and spreading happiness to children in need.
Team members decorated the entrance of the Noida and Bangalore offices with rangoli made of flowers and candles to welcome the gods and bring good luck for the year to come. Then team members celebrated Diwali with some games and decoration competition and ethnic dress day.
