Great Big Thank You – The Smith Family

  • October 3, 2019
  • by Nicole Bailey

We are really proud of the CSR initiatives we get behind here at Enable, and none more so that The Smith Family.

At Enable, we are focused on investing in a child’s education, helping them break the cycle of disadvantage. That’s why Enable partners with The Smith Family.
By giving young Australians the extra support they need to fully participate in their education, we can prevent them from experiencing a lifetime of poverty.  We love working with The Smith Family towards our shared vision of a better future for young Australians in need.

This year we were invited to attend the “Great Big Thank You” event, where The Smith Family celebrate the organisations that support them throughout the year. Organisations just like Enable Professional Service.

The Smith Family like to show their supporters how their generosity and support makes a lasting difference to the lives of young Australians living in disadvantage. Because of the support, these little heroes can realise their potential and create better futures for themselves.

Our Perth Enabler Darren Everett attended, Joined The Smith Family CEO, Dr Lisa O’Brien, and Smith Family ambassador and 2019 Australian of the Year, Dr Craig Challen SC OAM. Craig was part of the international team that helped rescue 12 boys and their soccer coach from a flooded cave in Thailand in 2018.

Darren left feeling inspired by the event even saying, “WOW, what an inspiring event. Youth are our most valuable resource, and we need to nurture them.  It’s our job to break the cycle and make sure they are successful, I couldn’t be prouder of the support that Enable are able to provide to the next generation.”
